Project Overview

When Space Center Houston received both the shuttle replica Independence and the Boeing 747 that transported it, they had an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind, multi-level experience. Pacific Studio crafted interactive exhibits for the retrofitted 747 interior that align with Space Center Houston’s education-focused mission: they explore problem-solving concepts; career paths in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; and examples of innovation from the shuttle era. A dynamic mix of graphics, interactive exhibits, and video transformed the interior of the 747 into a fascinating, immersive experience.
