Project Overview

Pacific Studio was responsible for the design and fabrication of exhibits for the Community Viewing Room at the new North Transfer Station in Seattle, WA. These exhibits encourage and educate visitors of all ages to think about the impact garbage has on our environment.

The final project featured exhibit design, content development, graphic design and production, and fabrication and installation. One of the key components being an interactive exhibit titled the “Sorting Bins”, which challenge visitors to find the correct receptacle (garbage, recycle, or compost) for the disposable of different types of waste. This interactive supports the mission of the entire project to empower visitors to make smart choices about where to dispose of their waste.
