Exhibit Design + Fabrication + Installation

Meriwether Lewis Site of the Natchez Trace Parkway

Exhibits at the Meriwether Lewis Death and Burial Site at the Natchez Parkway commemorate the life and death of this important figure in American history while telling the story of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Pacific Studio’s scope of work included content development, image research and design, as well as fabrication and installation of exhibits for indoor and outdoor displays. Interactive exhibits located in a historic cabin interpret the events surrounding Meriwether Lewis’s untimely death. Outdoor exhibits are located on a new walking trail at the park. To visually support the story and attract visitors, we designed historical figures cut out of faux Corten steel and interpretive signage to help guide people along the trail. In addition to the signs and life-sized figures, we inlaid at the trail’s entrance a compass rose that points to important places from Lewis’s life.
