Cedar River Watershed Education Center

The Cedar River Watershed Education Center educates school groups and the public about the ecosystem of the Cedar River watershed, the history behind the City of Seattle’s water supply, and the balance between the environment and Seattle’s thirst for water. Our work at the Cedar River Watershed Education Center featured a wide variety of interactive displays, including flip panels, graphic viewers, and an exhibit inviting visitors to guess their weight in water. The exhibits included a “Water Cycle Interactive,” in which children could place small Nerf balls into a series of hoppers and tubes for an engaging way to learn about the different paths a water molecule may take during its journey through the water cycle.
